Anna Marie, known as Rogue, is a mutant character associated with the X-Men in Marvel comics.

Rogue's defining ability is the power to absorb the powers, memories, and life force of others through skin-to-skin contact. This ability is typically uncontrollable, making any physical contact dangerous for both Rogue and the person she touches.

In many continuities, her absorption powers were initially acquired by permanently absorbing the powers and personality of Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel), leaving her with super strength, flight, and a fractured psyche. Rogue first appeared in *Avengers Annual* #10 (1981).

Rogue struggles to control her powers and often isolates herself to protect those around her. Her vulnerability and longing for connection are central to her character.
